Why I am beginning The Joseph Founder's Log

We read the stories of renowned business owners after they reach the peak of their success.

The story is motivational and it feels like knowledge is being imparted onto us. However, what can we truly learn if they are always being written backwards?

Imagine trying to condense the journey to become a top rocket scientist into a 300 page memoir. Would you know how to turn yourself into a rocket scientist after finishing the book?

Making sense of the adventure, after the conclusion has taken place, can never capture the changes you went through to get there. This is how I plan to do things differently: instead of waiting to share the secrets and epiphanies at the end of my career, we will uncover them in real time, together.

This is not a hack to business wealth or a get rich quick scheme. This is the world's closest 1:1 scale documented case of a business owner sculpting their method to produce real results.

Building authority is the focus of my services because I believe in the long-form, compounding effect content can have for accruing a client's trust. Everyone I write for, I do with the intention of keeping the prospect engaged until the very end. A prospect will buy when the feeling is right. Not necessarily because all the benefits add up. Your competitors can offer just as much value as you. How we communicate value is evidently more meaningful. Therefore, the longer a prospect engages with your content, the more trust you build. This leads to a stronger belief in the value you already provide.

In the end, authority is the metric that gives audiences a reason to listen in the first place. It demands that trust I just brought up and how well you communicate the value of your product or service. That makes writing the infrastructure of your business. 

I will prove it to you. Together, we will witness how sentences in this blog craft themselves into strategies I use later. Maybe you will spot them before me and shout about them in the comments. 

Am I worried about my ideas being stolen? No. A person's ability to execute an idea is infinitely more valuable than the idea itself. I could guess that you have had many million dollar ideas, a few multi-million dollar ideas, and maybe even a billion dollar idea, in your lifespan. Despite that, unless you execute them, you simply won't cash that cheque. 

With that in mind, I understand that motivation and accountability come from socialising my ideas. Not just in-person to a few trusted friends. I have to make them public.
